Winds of Change

  Who ever heard of a Hurricane aiming at Texas and hitting Ohio?  Well, the times they are a changin' aren't they?  There was some serious damage done to the Cranberry Bog Cranberry Bog LInk at Buckeye Lake from Ike.

Houses, Condos, Cottages, Obx

This is the "Lighthouse" so it was dubbed.  It is located somewhere around Kitty Hawk, on the Beach Road or Hwy. 12.  I liked the authentic look of it.  It has several rentals in it.  Many of the condos all look uniform and alike, but this one was a little more unique.

Obx Sailing

There is lots of sailing opportunites in the outerbanks of North Carolina.  Several places can be found along highway 158 that offer sailing and kayaking lessons.

Regarding the previous post from yesterday.  I guess I do have the name of the shop.  It is Beach Daze.

This particular shop rented kayaks and all types of things for the beach and water sports.  There are a few diffent shops that do this.  I did not catch the name of this shop, but loved the art work on the side of the building. It was located on the beach road, Hwy.12 close to Kill Devil Hills.

Shops in Outerbanks

I thought this little eclectic shop down from our motel on the Beach road, highway 12, was so cute.  I would love to have a shop just like it.  The super shopping malls and stores are crowding out these little unique shops on many of the popular beach destinations anymore.
